With Thanksgiving right around the corner, the holidays tend to bring people together. Thanksgiving is a time for reflection and giving thanks. It is also a time to give back, and White Oaks’, Cyndi and I spent some time volunteering with Feed My Starving Children.

Looking good in our hair nets, the White Oaks’ Minneapolis crew volunteered with the IDS building for the “Pack at the Park” event hosted by Feed My Starving Children at Target Field in late September. The goal was to contribute towards making 1,000,000 meals during the two-day event with the help of 5,000 volunteers. That volume of meals can feed 2,500 children one meal a day for a year! There was lots of hard work and laughs during our two-hour shift.

There are many ways to volunteer in your own community or get involved with organizations like Feed My Starving Children. Visit their website if you are interested in volunteering or learning more.
