My research experience will help White Oaks make more informed decisions, providing clients with better risk adjusted returns and increasing the likelihood of our clients achieving their financial goals.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Minor in Mathematics from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he specialized in financial engineering. He began his career in investment research at The Roseline Financial Group in Richmond, Virginia, where he was born and raised. Alex spent nearly eight years at Roseline in investment research. As a Portfolio Manager at White Oaks, he performs investment research, asset allocation of various strategies, assesses client portfolios, and assists with overall client communication. He is also a CFA® Charterholder and CIPM® Certificate holder.
In addition to these responsibilities, Alex has been involved with client communication through white papers and videos since joining White Oaks. He also helps to improve client portfolios as a member of the investment committee by sourcing several investment ideas that are now in client portfolios.
Alex and his wife and three children enjoy spending time at the great beaches near White Oaks’ Florida office, and they make the two hour drive to Disney World several times a year. Alex also enjoys getting onto the golf course every now and then.
