Cyndi Castle: A personal look inside

You may have spoken with Cyndi Castle on the phone and she has helped answer your account questions, or helped you with your new account set up and transfer process.  Cyndi is Vice President of Family Office Services and a Certified Senior Advisor®.  We would like to give you a glimpse into her personal side of life.  I have asked Cyndi a series of questions…enjoy!

What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?

Going to the nursery to buy flowers and plants then spending the afternoon in my backyard planting everything.  I love to plant pots, planters and boxes and every year I pick a “color” and only buy plants in that color!

What are your hobbies and how did you get into them?

Reading!  I can read up to 3-4 books a week.  When I was in 2nd grade I went to the library and I remember the librarian handed me a book about Martha Washington and my whole world opened up.  I haven’t stopped reading since.

What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?

I just became a Grandma for the first time.  Let me go hold my grandson and my day has instantly been made better.

What do you love about your job?

The People.  My co-workers, the clients and all the people I get to interact with during the day.  I am an extrovert and get all my energy by interacting with people.  During covid…..thank goodness for Zoom meetings!

What’s your favorite way to spend time with your family?

My sister and family live 3 hours north of the Twin Cities and any chance I get, I head up north.  My kids think of Walker, MN as their 2nd home.  We are either on the pontoon, walking the trails or hanging out at the dock.  Being up north with my family is my happy place.

What makes you proud of your family?

To watch both of my children grow up and become incredible adults.

If you could only teach one thing to your children, what would it be?

Kindness to all.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Walker, MN (Don’t tell my brother-in-law.  He gets nervous when I say that!).

If you could have a super power, what would it be?

Teleportation!  I have a fear of flying but love to travel.  I’d give anything to be able to teleport myself where ever I wanted to go.
